Introducing Mazot

Cloistered at the bottom of the Hotel garden, you find it: a traditional Savoyard mazot, radiating pure Alpine charm. You climb the steps and push open the door to luxurious sheets and exposed wood; to BEAUTIFUL VIEWS and evening sun. You’re not one for hyperbole. But there, tucked away in the calm and quiet, mountains stretching ahead of you – yes. Perhaps you would call it PARADISE.

A unique Alpine stay

A mazot is a wooden chalet, made in miniature. They were traditionally built to house a family’s valuables, and ours kept everything from grain to house deeds to the family Bible. Now, though? It’s an historic hideaway, a boutique hotel room infused with Alpine charm and more than a little romance.

Get away from it all

Couples love Mazot. Perhaps it’s the location: secluded at the bottom of the Hotel garden, away from the hustle and bustle. Perhaps it’s the rustic allure of the Mazot itself. Either way, it continues to entice those seeking a romantic Alpine break. Come; escape for a while.

Watch the sunset

Bring a bottle of something delicious back to Mazot before the sun goes down; the exclusive, sheltered balcony is the perfect spot to take in the evening sun. Step outside, watch the sky turn to fire, raise a toast. And tomorrow? Do it all again.

Fantastic. One of the best places to stay in the Alps. The house is the oldest building in Morzine and has so much character. The public rooms are warm and welcoming and feel like home from home and so beautifully furnished. The staff are all so hospitable and friendly and we were made to feel like one of the family. We stayed in Mazot – a luxurious old timbered building in the beautiful gardens – and felt like Hansel and Gretel in the woods! The breakfast is one of the best I have had in all my years of travel – the evening meals are gourmet.”
